When you interview potential bakers, there are certain elements that should be addressed. Ideally, you should be able to see pictures of previous cakes, a resume of experience and client references, but those pieces are not most crucial, as a distrustful vendor can forge these aspects. Vendors will never show you a negative review. You can learn a lot more at a cake tasting about your baker than how the cake tastes. Below are some tips to make your baker selection a lot easier.

Don't be fooled by persuasive confusing quotes that look like you are getting a great deal. WE will provide you the biggest bang for your buck and
the bottom line is you get what you want, how you want it and at a price that is fair to both of us. DO NOT SETTLE. ASK US!

Most bakers do, and should, offer free cake tastings. We suggest going to several other bakers before coming to us. That way when you taste our cake you can immeidately see why we are the best and sign the contract on the spot. Remember....if you sign your contract while at the consultation, it saves you money! Was the designer friendly? Did you get a DRAWING of your cakes? Do they know what they are talking about? Are you confident in their skills?
Do they appear to want your business? Do you feel good about the company? Did all of your questions get answered?
■ 8. Sanitation
Clean and up to date? Was the showroom dated or modern? What you see if what you get. We have the best showroom in the industry!
■ 9. Visual Appeal
“When guests come into your reception…the FIRST thing they see or go to is the cake!” Does the cake design, color, attention to detail and over all presence leave you speechless? It should...and we do! When you walked into the bakery showroom…was it a “wow” experience….?
■ 10. Delivery
Make sure to ask….. WHO does deliveries and what kind of vehicle. CHAD AND EDWARD (THE OWNERS) DELIVER THEIR OWN CAKES... NOT SOMEONE GETTING PAID $10 AN HOUR! A refrigerated van or truck is a must in DFW weather, especially in the spring and summer, and even the early fall.
■ 11. First Impressions
Look at the showroom. Was it clean? Was it filled with works of art? When you walked in....did you think....WOW? After your consultation, do you walk away feeling confident in the baker’s presentation? Did he or she listen to all of your ideas, questions and concerns? Was everything addressed thoroughly and to your expectations? You should be able to walk away with the peace of mind that this particular baker is worth your investment, knowing that he or she will be able to produce the cake of your dreams while maintaining the discussed budget and price point.
